Multicultural Queensland
Queensland is home to many cultures and many languages - we speak hundreds of different languages and dialects, identify with a diverse range of religious beliefs and traditions, and come from many different countries and territories.
Almost a quarter of us are born overseas, and many have at least one parent born in a country other than Australia.
With our diverse cultural heritage and identities, it’s important for all Queenslanders to find those things that connect us.
It’s why we celebrate our cultural diversity all year long and encourage everyone to proudly share their heritage and identities. Whether that’s through storytelling or by sharing our skills and experiences, let’s join together to help make Queensland a more inclusive place for all.
