Under the Local Government Electoral Act 2011, certain electors can make an electronically assisted vote at a local government election. The intent of allowing electronically assisted voting for local government elections is to make voting more accessible and convenient for all electors and to ensure electors have an equal opportunity to vote and are not disadvantaged because of personal circumstance, disability or language.
