The 2019–21 Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program (LGGSP) aims to support Local Governments to deliver priority infrastructure and essential services that meet the identified needs of their communities.

2017–19 Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program (LGGSP)

The 2017–19 Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program (LGGSP) aims to support Local Governments to meet the needs of their community by supporting the delivery of priority capital infrastructure projects.

2019–21 Works for Queensland Program (W4Q)

The $600 million Works for Queensland (W4Q) program supports regional Councils to undertake job-creating maintenance and minor infrastructure projects.

$200 million was allocated to 65 Councils for 2016–17, $200 million for 2017–19, and $200 million has been approved to extend the W4Q program until 2020–21.

2017–19 Works for Queensland Program

The Works for Queensland (W4Q) program supports regional Councils to undertake job-creating maintenance and minor infrastructure projects.

The 2017–19 W4Q program budget totals $200 million, delivered over two years.

2018–19 Local Government Levy Ready Grants Program (LGLRGP)

The 2018–19 Local Government Levy Ready Grants Program (LGLRGP) provides $5 million in funding to assist local councils with their waste disposal facility infrastructure upgrades prior to the introduction of the waste disposal levy in 2019.

Indigenous Councils Critical Infrastructure Program (ICCIP)

The Indigenous Councils Critical Infrastructure Program (ICCIP) is a $120 million funding program that will deliver critical water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure to Queensland’s Indigenous councils.

2016–2018 Indigenous Local Government Sustainability Program (ILGSP)

The aim of the 2016–18 ILGSP is to provide funding to assist Indigenous councils increase their capacity, capability and sustainability.

2019–2020 Indigenous Economic Development Grant (IEDG)

The IEDG is a Queensland Government strategy to help alleviate the impact of Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) reforms and to assist Indigenous councils fill the potential service delivery gap arising from the withdrawal of CDEP.

2019–2020 State Government Financial Aid (SGFA)

The SGFA is provided to Indigenous councils as a contribution towards the cost of delivering local government services.

2019–2020 Revenue Replacement Program (RRP)

The RRP is part of the State Government's agreed harm reduction strategy, for those Indigenous councils which divested or surrendered profitable general liquor licences.

2019–2020 Show Societies Grants Program (SSGP)

Funding to assist recognised show societies in Queensland to conduct annual shows.

Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP)

The aim of the NDRP is to reduce Queensland communities' vulnerability to natural hazards and build community resilience

NDRP is now managed by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority. NOTE: All approved NDRP projects for 2016-17 and prior years will be managed by the Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs until completion.
